The 38 year old was killed in the driveway of his Castle Hill home the morning of the 24thFebruary 1998. He was killed after several shots were fired as he was ready to leave for work. The Minister said the Government would provide the reward to encourage public assistance with the case."Police need members of the public to come forward," the Minister said. "Someone in the community has information that will help investigators break this case and find those responsible for Mr Burt's murder.

The Minister for Police announced a $100,000 reward for information about the 1998 handgun murder of a Sydney man.
