LYNETTE WHITE

Lynette WHITE: Text

FAMILY STATEMENT

Lyn was the love of MY LIFE. She was the most beautiful person (inside and out) that I have ever known. She was a very kind, considerate human being who thought of others before herself. As well as having a beautiful nature she had a bubbling personality, always laughing. She died a beautiful young proud mother of a 11 week old cherished son, Shane.

I can't and will never ever forget you, for the rest of my living days

NSW Police Rewards Website

The body of 26-year-old, Lynette (Lyn) White, was found by her husband, Paul, in their Coogee apartment 45-years ago today (8 June 1973). Lyn had been stabbed numerous times. Their 11 week old son was found unharmed in a cot nearby. Police are particularly urging that anyone living in the block of apartments of 26 Beach Street Coogee between 1971 and 1973 come forth.

Local and Homicide Squad detectives conducted numerous inquiries at the time, and over the years, but were not able to identify who was responsible for her murder.

In 2016, detectives from the Homicide Squad's Unsolved Homicide Unit established Strike Force Tourmaline to reinvestigate the circumstances surrounding Lyn’s murder.

“This murder needs to be solved, there are now a million reasons for someone to come forward and provide information” Dept Supt Cook

Reward

The Police are currently offering a $1 million dollar reward to anyone that has information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person/s responsible for Lyn's death
