Katrina Ploy, a 25-year-old Sydney woman attended a Hawkesbury race meeting with her mother and sister on Sunday 17 December 2006, and was last seen leaving her parent’s house at Seven Hills at 5pm.However, her personal belongings were found at Watson Bay, somewhere she frequented. Her body was the found Christmas Day a week later. A post-mortem examination revealed her injuries were inconsistent with a fall, and her death was deemed as suspicious.

The NSW Government had announced a $100,000 reward for information ahead of the tenth anniversary of the suspected murder of Sydney woman, Katrina Ploy.

Police have offered a $100,000 reward for information about Katrina Ploy's suspected murder. The body of 25-year-old Katrina Ploy was found floating in Sydney Harbour on Christmas Day in 2006, a week after her clothing and car was discovered at The Gap, Watsons Bay. Ms Ploy was last seen alive by her sister, Tanja, leaving her parents' house in Seven Hills at 5pm on December 17, 2006. At 10:40pm, security cameras captured her car travelling through the Cross City Tunnel in Sydney’s east.
