FAMILY STATEMENT

Operation Veritas is a wonderful concept and initiative and keeps the flame burning and hopefully even if one unsolved case is solved that is a success. I and my family were more than happy to be involved in this operation hopefully to bring some closure to my sister
Michelles disappearance and find out what happened to her all those years ago but importantly bring those responsible to justice and lay our sister to rest with the dignity she deserves.

Not knowing but having suspicions is like an open wound that doesn't heal and the pain does not go away. In the past 22 years Michelle has gone missing suspected of being murdered
(Coroner found), I have lost a mother (adopted) and two biological brothers who loved Michelle dearly and will never see closure.

Somebody knows something and we need that person/persons to come forward whether
anonymously or otherwise to allow the rest of my family to have this closure and lay Michelle to rest. Not knowing is the hardest. Michelle was our sister and a daughter and was loved by all that knew her.

NSW Police Rewards Website

Ms Mills, born on 23 July 1961, was reported missing from Mudgee on 12 August 2000 and has not been seen since.

Police believe the mysterious disappearance of Michelle Mills is most likely a case of murder, but her body has never been found.

Police understand Michelle had some failed relationships and had been going through a difficult time in the lead-up to her disappearance.

However, investigators believe it is unlikely Michelle took her own life.

She had only recently moved to Mudgee and she may have returned to Sydney before her death.

While it is unclear what led to Michelle's death, police strongly believe she was the victim of foul play.

Michelle's bank card was used for up to nine months after her disappearance.

These bank transactions, which occurred in Mudgee, Cowra and Blayney, could lead police to the killer or killers.

Rewards
